Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | 6 lbs

My 17 yr old calico female cat, has renal failure, but 2 days ago a UTI. Vet gave her saline and antibiotics. Also we have to daily inject her with saline. Yesterd I did accidently on full blast 3 min, not 15 min. Cat was cold and not well. Finally ate and peed today. Can she recover from this fast intake if cild saline? How can we help and do we try again today to give her the saline??

Sorry that Tristan is having this issue. How cold is cold? Are you keeping the saline in the refrigerator? If so, I don't recommend you do that and it is not necessary. She can "recover" from cold saline but it is better if the saline is room temperature. Yes, you can give the saline again as scheduled just make sure it is not cold. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
