Pet's info: Cat | Bombay | Female | spayed | 6 years and 6 months old | 9 lbs
I would like to make sure that this bump I keep feeling on my cat isn’t anything to be concerned about. It’s on her upper back and I can feel it when rubbing her. What is this bump from and how can it be treated? Is it something that is going to make my cat sick or have her in pain?

Hello, sorry to hear about Pearly. It does not look immediately like a bump I would be worried about, unfortunately the only way to tell is by looking at it closely and potentially obtaining a sample from it. That bump looks small enough that i may be able to be removed with local anesthesia. You should have your veterinarian evaluate it and determined if they recommend having it removed. Alternatively, you can continue to monitor the lump as long as it is not bothering Pearly, and have it assessed if you note any changes in size or if it becomes open or starts to produce discharge. Hope this helps and best of luck.
