Is human trazodone safe for my dog, even if it's the same dose?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 12 years and 1 month old | 40 lbs

Can I give my dog trazadone that was prescribed for a human? The pills are the same dose.

No, it is never recommended to give your dog a medication that was prescribed for a human. Even though the pills are the same dose, it may be the wrong medication for Scout or it may not be safe to give to him. Only give him medication prescribed by the vet for a specific medical condition. I hope this helps!
