My puppy might have parvo. What to do to protect my other dogs?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 13 days old | 10 lbs

I think my puppy might have parvo ive researched the symptoms and so far it sounds like that is what he has. I also have the mother to the puppy along with the sister and 2 brothers. I recently gave them there shot to prevent parvo a week prior to him getting sick. The sister puppy as of today looks like shes catching the symptoms slowly..I am worried and scared that the other puppys might catch the virus what am i to do ?

If you have a strong suspicion of parvovirus infection, I would strongly recommend to have them checked all together as soon as possible at your local veterinarian. Antibiotics and symptomatic treatment for gastrointestinal signs can be started as soon as possible, even as a preventive therapy. I would suggest not to wait until signs are clearly related to parvovirus as the infection can be extremely severe and lead to dramatic consequences. Please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.
