My dog had diarrhea, now he's not pooping. Is this normal?

Hey so my shiba inu stopped pooing starting this morning.It is at nighttime right now and he ate both breakfast and dinner but still haven't poo.I should include he did have diarrhea this morning but after that he was completely normal and active.Can you tell me what is going on? Pet's info: Dog | Shiba Inu | Male | unneutered | 5 months and 14 days old | 28 lbs

Thanks for your question. The fact that Hachi had diarrhea this morning explains why he did not have another bowel movement in the evening. It is very normal to not have a bowel movement for a day or so after an episode of diarrhea. The colon becomes empty. If he is now acting normal and hasn't passed more diarrhea, then I would not be concerned. I hope this answers your question.
