My dog's neck wound got worse after scabbing. Is a vet needed?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 8 months old | 90 lbs

my dog has a big wound on his inner neck near his chest. it looks like it has no skin or fur. he scratches alot. I have tried using special gauze and cleaned the wound and it has tried up and made into a scab but now it has became worse

I would highly recommend a veterinarian. Depending on the wound Mugz may need antibiotics. When covering a wound it can actually make the wound worse if you confine the bacteria in a moist environment. Your veterinarian can clean the wound and provide the proper treatment for Mugz.
