Pet's info: Cat | Ragdoll | Male | unneutered | 1 year old | 4 lbs
My cat has had Diarrhoea for the past 4-5 days. I took him to the vets 3 days ago and was given a new wormer and nutrabio. He’s still having diarrhoea once a day and he’s still active, hungry and drinking water. I’m concerned as he looks like he’s losing weight. I was advised to feed him a bland diet so he’s been having cooked chicken. What should I do?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Cinders! How old is Cinders? I would call your Vet or have him rechecked and discuss starting him on metronidazole. If he is a kitten be sure he has been feline leukemia and FIV tested. Sometimes if it is viral or parasitic in nature it just take a but to get things under control. It does sound like you need a new approach since he isn't improving. Some Vets if they have seen the patient recently are ok with having you just come pick up medication. I hope this helps and I wish Cinders the best!
