Is it safe to give my dog a quercetin supplement to reduce chronic inflammation? What is the proper dosage? Do you have any brand recommendations? Thanks!

Hello and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Quercetin is a supplement that has many applications and appears to be safe and well tolerated in dogs. One product that I have seen used that seems to be safe and effective is NaturVet Aller-911 Allergy Aid chews. This has 25mg of Quercetin in it, which would be a safe dose. This brand can be found online or at your local pet store such as PetCo. I would also recommend Welactin omega 3 fish oil capsules to help reduce inflammation and Turmeric root can also help reduce inflammation. A product that may help reduce inflammation is Ayush Herbs Curcumin 97%. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
