My senior Shih Tzu has a grape-sized lump near her private area. What is it?

i have a 14 yr old shih tzu and she has a grape size shape coming out her area and i’m not sure what it is HELP

Thank you for your question. If you have access to a veterinarian, I would go there now. It is a little difficult to tell from the picture, but this looks like it could possibly be a vaginal prolapse, meaning some of the tissue from inside the vagina has come out. The sooner this gets addressed the better the chance of recovery. Once it stays out, it can swell and get harder to put back inside. I hope Midge can get help soon!
