My cat isn't pooping after prednisolone. Will he be put down?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | 8 years and 7 months old | 14 lbs

my cat aint poop but is peeing the doc put him on prednisolone he just started to eat and tom he is going to see the vet for follow up am i going to hear that they have to put him down i was just wonding so i can be ready for it

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this problem with Blackie! It really depends on how severe his constipation is, and whether this is a chronic problem or something that just happened. Normally, constipation can be treated in cats and does not require euthanasia. I would recommend asking your veterinarian what the recommended next step would be (possibly a laxative like lactulose or Miralax, or a manual enema under sedation) if he is still not able to poop at that time.
