My hamster's front paw disappeared into its skin. What could it be?

Hi. My stepson has a dwarf hamster who is approximately about 2 years old. The problem we are having is that her front right paw seems to have completely disappeared and has been enveloped by her skin, she's eating normally, no previous health issues, she's still moving around as quickly and agile as before and it doesnt seem to be bothering her in terms of mobility. When handling her you can feel that the limb is still there as you can feel the pressure on your hand. What could it be?

Hello. My concern is the possibility of a tumor that has grown & completely enveloped the limb. The other possibility is the hamster is obese & fat has also obscured the limb. The only way to know definitively is to have your veterinarian examine Fuzzy & determine if there is a problem. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
