My dog is restless before sleep. Why does she keep lifting her head?

My dog is trying to sleep but she keeps putting her head up, she closes her eyes with her head up then puts her head down after a minute then she puts her head right back up again, sometimes she gets up and walks a bit then just sits their, then she back to her bed and does this a couple times but she eventually goes to sleep. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 6 months and 23 days old | 20 lbs

Hi , I would check her breathing. Does it look regular and not too fast ? You could check how many times her chest moves up in 15 sec and then time it by four. This would be her respiratory rate. In a minute, the respiratory rate should be under 40. This is a bit of a long shot, as I am sure she is young and healthy and probably just the way for her to settle to sleep. However, if she seems distressed or if there are any symptoms that you are not sure about, have her checked over. Hope it is nothing to be worried about.
