My dog ate ibuprofen. What should I do if I can't get to a vet?

My dog ate ibuprofen tablets, what can I do if unable to get her to a vet to minimise damage?

Because Lia is so small and so young, it is important that you seek emergency veterinary care right away. Unfortunately there are no safe methods for you to make her vomit at home. Call you veterinarians office, they should have information on their answering machine or their website about the closest emergency clinic.

    Hello. You can start seeing significant gastrointestinal signs with ingestion of 68 mg, kidney damage starting at about 475 mg, & CNS signs starting at 1000 mg. These are all doses for a 6-pound dog. Depending on how much Lia actually ate will determine how sick she might get. I would say that any amount around or over 100 mg is dangerous & she really needs professional care & monitoring. I hope if she did eat a substantial amount you can have her seen soon.
