Why is my 7-year-old dog drinking lots, sleeping, and not playing?

Buddy is 7. He eats well,Blue Buffalo, drinks lots of water, sleeps alot doesnt play. Im worred there is something wrong. What might be wrong? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 6 years old
