My bird's upper beak is swollen, discolored, and rubbery. Is he okay?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Female

The part of the beak closest to bird or top of his head is discolored and feels rubbery. It appears swollen. He still eats and plays as usual. Should I be alarmed?

You can monitor Cloud for additional symptoms (lethargy, loss of appetite, bleeding, etc) or you can have him examined by your veterinarian or an experienced avian vet. If you can post an image with a new question, we may be able to provide more specific advice.
