My young budgies died. Can their illness affect my new puppy?

I have lost both my budgies within a week of each other both young. I'm worried they were poorly and I recently had a puppy and hope that whatever they had won't get passed on to the him? Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Female | 4 months and 29 days old

I am sorry for the loss of your budgies. The few diseases your puppy could catch require direct contact (ingestion or inhalation of contaminated droppings) with either the bird or droppings. It is likely your puppy will be fine
