Updated On September 23rd, 2025

If I have a mixed breed example a Maltese dog and a miniature poodle mix.and I buy 2 dogs that are already mixes with those 2 breeds is it good to breed them like that.or is it better to breed a Maltese and poodle.will the there be any difference in the puppies as far as will they be stronger or better?

Very interesting question! Crossbred dogs often avoid many of the health conditions which may be associated with their respective pedigree breeds and so are often considered 'healthier'. Breeding is not an exact science however and the genetics of breeding two 50:50 crossbred dogs together could result in a wide range of pups from close to 100% either breed to 50-50 of the mixture!
