My dog is wobbly after gentamicin. Is this a permanent side effect?

My dog has been losing balance after his one time gentamicin shot, is that a temporary side effect?

I’m so sorry this happened to Dollar. Unfortunately, this side effect may be permanent, though sometimes it goes away. Even if the head tilting/eye movements are permanent, however, many dogs can, with time, learn to walk without falling over, etc. - especially if his eyesight is still good. Dollar should also avoid this class of drugs (aminoglycosides) from now on. Best of luck to you and Dollar!
