Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. Coconut oil is ok to use but I habe seen better success using a product called Biobalm by Dermoscent, which can be found online quite easily. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

One of my favorite products for paws is called Mushers Secret ( http://www.musherssecret.net/ ). It is very thick and moisturizing, but does not have a strong scent or flavor to it, so most dogs will not lick their feet after applying it. There are a number of other good products on the market as well. Many people like coconut oil, but I find that it is too greasy and causes my dogs to lick their feet after it is applied. Be sure that Chance is on a good quality puppy food as well because that will help long term. Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using PetCoach.

There are a number of good commercial products that can be applied to the paw pads to help protect them from getting too dry and cracked. I'm unsure which products are available in Finland, but I have had good luck with Musher's Secret in the snow and winter. http://www.musherssecret.net/ I have tried coconut oil on my dogs' paws, but it is more greasy and it made them lick their paws, so I have had better luck with a commercial product that does not smell quite as tasty! But it is fine to try and can be used daily if needed. Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using PetCoach.
