Why is my cat suddenly quiet, slow, hiding, and crying in pain?

Hello! My name is Janine and I have a 1-year-old black cat named Minx. This morning, I began to notice her behavior changing a bit. She's walking very slowly and is very quiet, which is a pretty big contrast to her usually active and loud self. I tried to draw her out from under my covers by walking her to our living room which she did very slowly before moving to hide behind the couch. She isn't responsive to anything I try to give her and I even tried cradling her for a bit but she just cried.

Poor Minx. It definitely sounds like she is either in pain or just not feeling well. There are several things that can cause these symptoms from a hurt neck or spine, pain elsewhere, an abscess, toxins, liver or kidney issues and much more. I would have your vet take a look at her. Your vet will be able to do a fecal, blood work and even x-rays if needed to help determine the cause and get her started on the proper meds to help her feel better. I hope this helps!
