My deaf cat's tail wound is spreading. Does she need a vet visit?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 13 years and 3 months old | 10 lbs

My cat has what I thought was a wound on the underside of her tail which I thought was healing, it has now spread to the top side. She is deaf and get distressed when going to the veterinary practice, can you advise me if this is necessary please?

Poor Missy! Given that this area is now spreading, yes it is necessary to take her into the vet. I understand it may be hard on her, but I would be concerned she has an infection if it's spreading. This can only be treated by a vet. Please take her into a vet on Monday. Good luck, I hope this helps!
