Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Male | neutered | 9 years and 4 months old | 9 lbs
I think I need to have a blood test on my 9 yr old Yorkshire terrier male. Since having his 2nd dental resulting in him being left with one tooth, he has had 6 “partial” fits Orr more funny turns, he does not lose any motions and it’s all over within 5 mins. He’s took to trying to get grsss yet again after being with the vet this week, could find much except to say stomach appeared a little sore, given ranitidine twice daily, what blood test do I need to ask for to find out if it is his stomach

You can start with a CBC and chemistry panel. This will show any infection and check the red counts. IF there is a stomach ulcer, then sometimes an anemia will show. The chemistry panel will check liver, kidney and blood sugar and check the protein levels. Certain changes in these values can indication a GI problem or ulcers. From there, an ultrasound will be your best tool as this can look at the stomach and intestines to evaluate their thickness and check for any abnormalities to get you more answers.
