What's this lump on a stray cat's head behind her ear? Vet needed?

Question

A stray cat visits mý house. I noticed a lump on her head, behind her ear. What could this be? It's not leaking or burst. Could it be an abscess and should I get her to the vet asap. She is not mine and only comes in at night, so it's difficult to keep her in to get her to a vet. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female

Judging from your description and the fact that she is an outdoor cat, I would suspect what you are seeing is an abscess. I would recommend getting her to a vet if possible to have the lump examined so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made.
