My 3-month puppy cries when I leave & goes wild when I return. Normal?

Question

My puppy is 3 months he crys for 5 minutes when I leave for work but when my boyfriend or I get home he's freaking out crying jumping in our arms for at least 10 mins should I be worried? He's usually at home by himself for 1-3 hours but never more. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 11 days old | 11.8 lbs
