My Siamese cat has developed dermatitis. Are there any good home remedies to clear her scabs up?

This is probably caused by an allergic reaction. first of all make sure you de-flea Astrid regularly every month with a high quality spot on (ex. Advantage) as fleas are by far the most common reason for these reactions. If the fleas are not the problem, it could be an allergic reaction to food or an environmental factor. this is more complicated to treat and will sometimes require medications such as Steroids, anti histamines or cyclosporin in order to stop the allergy.

Making sure Keanu doesn't continue scratching with the use of an Elizabethan (cone) collar or a T-shirt over the area may help reduce irritation, as well as keeping the area clean and dry. If you see any visible wounds or oozing of debris, etc, I would be concerned that the allergic reaction has turned into an infection and it should be seen by a vet and treated. If the are also doesn't heal, or doesn't seem to improve, further vet care is best.
