I am sorry Chico is not feeling well. I would recommend going back to the veterinarian. If he vomited blood it may be an upset stomach (possible ulcer) but it could be more. I typically recommend full blood work and X-rays be performed. If nothing shows up on either of those there is medication to help coat their stomach just in case they have an ulcer. I hope Chico feels better soon and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

I would rush Chico into a vet immediately. He sounds extremely sick if he won't eat, can barely stand, hasn't pooped for a week, and was vomiting. There is nothing you can do for him at home, this is a medical emergency and he needs veterinary attention now. Please take him to a vet ASAP.

It is very concerning that Chico is acting like this. If he really isn't doing well then I would recommend an emergency hospital. There are some in Manhattan and some in NJ that you can travel too. If he is doing well and feel that it is not an emergency then I would call your veterinarian in the morning to get him seen. With the symptoms, you described it is hard to say if it is a true emergency vs something that can wait, sometimes it is better to be safer and head to a hospital. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Chico. He sounds quite ill for a young puppy. I recommend that he sees his veterinarian as it has been several days and he is not improving. I'm concerned that he is dehydrated at this point. He will likely require fecal testing, medication and possibly some fluids to rehydrate him. In the meantime, encourage him to eat and drink small frequent amounts. I hope this information helps!
