My dog vomited after eating chicken and won't eat. Is he sick?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Native American Indian Dog | Male | neutered | 3 years and 2 months old

My dog vomitted many times on last Monday. I stopped his food for 24 hours till his vomit stopped. I gave him two pan40 for two days and from Wednesday he's active and drinks water but doesn't want to eat. Thursday he ate but in very less quantity. Yesterday also same, very less quantity. Today he skipped his lunch and had only two biscuits in the afternoon. For dinner we had chicken and he ate excitedly but soon after he again vomited all if it. He's now sleeping peacefully. He is 4 years old

It sounds as Molu is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.
