My dog has tartar and black lines on his teeth. What should I do?

Hi I’m just wondering if I should be concerned that my dog is starting to get a little bit of tartar buildup on some of his teeth and he has like a black line around some of them at the top of his teeth. Should i brush his teeth or if it’s something serious take him to the vet. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 19 lbs

Hello. This is absolutely not serious & you do not need to take Chewy to the veterinarian yet. At some time down the road, he may need to have professional teeth cleaning, but if you can start brushing his teeth, you may be able to put this off for years. Check with your nearest pet store for the appropriate products including a pet-friendly toothpaste ( never use human products ), & the various brushes & applicators you can use to keep his teeth shiny & bright.
