Dog Vitamin K in fridge: Is it still effective for mouse poison?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 3 days old | 8 lbs

My vet prescribed vitamin K because I thought my dog might have been in contact with mouse poison. She told me to store it in the fridge but when I was looking online for information Insaw that it said to store it at room temperature. I’m not sure what I should do. It’s been in the fridge now for the day. Should I keep it there? Will it still work?

It's fine that it has been in the fridge and will be just as effective. It's possible that Maple's vet recommended it be in the fridge so that it is not exposed to as much light, because light is degrading to Vitamin K. I would recommend leaving it there tonight and calling tomorrow to clarify.
