How to treat my senior pug's smelly, seeping lip tumor infection?

Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Female | spayed | 23 lbs

i have a 15 yr old pug, she has a tumor on her bottom lip that is seeping, and smells aweful, I took her in about 4 mo ago and they said it needed to be removed, but they said she would lose her bottom jaw, and her age they don't recommened it do to cost and her age, it is growing and and it is has pus and smells aweful. what can I do to git rid of the smell?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This is likely due to a secondary infection. Even if not treating the tumor per se, I recommend antibiotics. You can have your veterinarian take a look at her and if they agree, antibiotics can be prescribed at that time. This is likely to improve the smell and infection but also improve her comfort.
