Does my dog need vitamin D3 supplements when there's less winter sun?

Pet's info: Dog | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel | Female | spayed | 5 years and 7 months old | 17 lbs

Can I give my dog vitamin d3 since it's winter and there is not as much sunlight? Thanks!

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! There is really no need to do that. If she is being fed a high quality diet, all these vitamins are part of it and do not need to be supplemented. You can consider a multivitamin which would never hurt though in most cases it is not necessary. Good luck and have a great day!
