Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 10 years and 5 months old | 12 lbs
Not sure if this is the best place to go to ask this question, but I want to move out of my parents' house in a couple months and take my cat with me. However, she's 10 years old and only ever known that home and my family members. Will it be to stressful to move her, or will she eventually adjust in my new home?

The move may be slightly stressful and unsettling for Emmy to begin with. With time and your support she will be able to adapt to her new surroundings. I would suggest some of the following tactics to help her as she adjusts. Feliway diffuser Increased interaction from you inclaying games like fetch or laser tag chase Bringing her articles with her such as her cat bed, or post If Emmy continues to display signs of stress, such as hiding behaviours or potty accidents, consult your veterinarian af discuss the possibility of the short term use of stress alleviating medications. Best of luck with the move and please feel free to ask any further questions you may have here on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! We are happy to help.

It will probably be a little stressful at first but she is likely to adjust with time. You could try a Feliway diffuser or spray and also try Solliquin chews to help alleviate some of the stress. https://www.feliway.com/us#redirected http://www.solliquin.com/
