What's causing my indoor kitten's skin ulcer? Is it ringworm?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | unspayed

My kitten has what appears to be a skin ulcer and i asked for a second opinion through a vet and they had said that it is a ringworm but in order for her to have caught she should've escaped and/or been outside which she has not done. I have another cat but she hasn't experienced anything. I need a prescription if it is a ringworm but I don't really know if that may even be the case. Money is a little tight.

It doesn't look like ringworm but the picture is not very good either so i definitely can't be sure. if the second opinion vet gave you this diagnosis, why didn't they give you a prescription for treating it? we cannot give any prescriptions through this service though, so you will need to get back to your vet in order to get a prescription.
