Pet's info: Dog | Beagle | Female | spayed | 9 years and 5 months old | 27 lbs
My 9 year old female beagle is refusing to eat (and has been for almost a day) she appears to be in discomfort as she stands funny (weirdly positions her butt and tail). Do you know what’s wrong?

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. Based on your description I would recommend having a veterinarian examine Buzz so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. She may be standing differently due to abdominal pain or if her butt and tail are in a different position, she may have an anal gland issue. I would also recommend having her blood tested to make sure that there are no abnormalities that need to be addressed. I hope this helps and that Buzz gets better soon. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
