Flaxseeds are good for dogs; especially if they are normally given a vegetarian diet. Flaxseeds are a good source of essential fatty acids and B vitamins, so are good to add to a daily diet if you are feeding home-cooked food. Be sure to crush the seeds before feeding though. Otherwise, the seed will not be properly digested and the dog will miss-out on the nutrients. I hope that helps and all is well with Cooper.
