Dog itchy and anxious after bath. What can I give him until the vet?

Hello, I gave my dog a batch about 4 days ago. He started being very itchy about 2 days ago. He is very anxious, wants to keep scratching. At night he doesn't want to sleep and keeps wining or trying to get out of the room. The earliest vet appointment I could have made is tomorrow. Can you please recommend what I could do in the meantime? Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Female | spayed | 5 years and 6 months old | 14 lbs

Hi there. I recommend you give Teddy (orally) one to one and a half tablets of diphenhydramine 25mg (Benadryl). You can give it up to every 8 hours. Give the last dose tonight right before bed. Don't give any in the morning as to not interfere too much with the vet exam. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
