Blood in the urine in male dogs is usually a sign of a urinary infection or a prostate disease, you will need to take him to the vet today in order to get it checked and treated, he will probably need an antibiotic course.

I am sorry to hear about your dog! I would recommend bringing him in for an examination by a veterinarian given your description and this photo. We could have something like an abscess or cellulitis developing if the area is swollen and bruised, and the penis itself should be examined. We can also get infections inside the prepuce (the sheath of skin covering the penis) that may require antibiotics and it sounds like he could benefit from pain medication as well.

It is possible he could have bacteria or yeast growth on the skin. I would recommend a vet exam where they can do a skin cytology to check and see if either or both are present. They may prescribe oral medication or medicated shampoo or wipes depending on the severity.

Hi there and thank you for your post! With the symptoms you are describing, jack could have a urinary tract infection with the increased frequency of urination. The red bumps on his penis could be due to irritation or infection. I would get jack in to see your vet as soon as you can to have this looked at so he can receive the most appropriate treatment. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. I am also available via consultation
