Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. With the limited history and not being able to hear what this noise sounds like, it is difficult to say what the cause could be. Inflammation or infection can cause changes to the way an animal breathes as well as something stuck in the airway. If this persists or worsens, I would recommend having a veterinarian take a look at Eva so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Abnormal breathing can be a sign of many conditions such as pneumonia, bronchitis, heart disease, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Likely diagnostics to be performed include thoracic radiographs and bloodwork. Treatment would be dependent on findings. Good luck and have a good night!
