Why does my 8-week-old puppy have dry skin lumps and a lip bubble?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 2 months old | 13 lbs

There are two lumps on my dog. One on its back (color of her skin pretty small looks lik it’s dry /peeling) and one on her lip (yellow small bubble cyst like) she is an 8 week old pitbull puppy I just got her two days ago.

The most likely problem is a skin infection, also called puppy pyoderma. I would encourage you to schedule a new puppy examination with a veterinarian as soon as possible. They will discuss the skin and will likely start vaccinations as well. Best of luck and thank you for using Pet Coach.
