What's on my 3-month-old husky puppy's nose? Is it a skin issue?

Sophie is beautiful! The picture is a little far away, but by zooming in, it could be that she has a sore under her nose. She could also have a skin infection in that area. Without seeing her in person, I can't say for certain, so the best thing to do is take her into the vet on Monday. The vet can diagnose what is causing this skin condition and how best to treat it. Yes, I recommend to call your normal veterinarian and ask about either having Roxy examined or send the vet the photos as a starting point. I suspect the black spots represent a bacterial infection, a yeast infection or ringworm (which people can get). Since she is immune suppressed (due to her autoimmune condition) an infection is more likely and she may not be able to fight the infection as normal. Until she is examined, protect the area form rubbing and she may need to wear an elizabethan collar at all times. Also, try to keep her skin in optimal health. You can add in an omega 3 fatty acid supplement for dogs, this can help improve the skin health. You may also try changing her diet to something like Royal Canin or Nutro as they are aimed at skin health. I hope this helps!

So I have a husky and over the past week he has gotten open sores on his nose and they have pus coming out but some are also scabbing over. What should I put on them?
Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This could be due to an infection though it could also be due to an immune mediated disease for instance. Most of the time these require a biopsy to determine the origin. Antibiotics can help in these cases though again it depends on what is the actual cause of these lesions. I recommend that you have Max evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a good night!

Should I be concerned about these marks/pimples on my husky’s face?
It could be a sign of a skin infection, possibly caused by bacteria, yeast, or a fungus (ringworm). It doesn't look too bad in the picture, but I can't really say if it's bad or not without seeing Nash in person. I do think it's worth getting checked out by a vet. Give his vet a call in the morning to make him an appointment. Best of luck.

My Siberian Husky (2 years old) has a series of cuts or a rash on the top of her snout, she enjoys playing with my cats and I think she may be scratching her. I’ve only noticed it a few days ago. Should I wait or take her to my vet?
This looks like the kind of scratches dogs gets from rubbing their nose under a fence or kennel - I wonder if that's a possibility for Luna. The issue does not look very serious at this point, so I think it would be fine to monitor her. If you're noticing the redness or scratches spreading or if she seems otherwise off, I would schedule a vet appointment. If her nose heals over the next few days, you don't need to do anything. What is this weird raised rash on my labs nose?
That area looks very irritated and i'd be concerned there is a burn, severe irritation, or even a growth/tumor causing the hair loss and wounding of the skin. Since so much is exposed, it's a good idea to have it examined by your vet right away. Until you can get to the vet, keeping the area clean and dry and placing an Elizabethan (cone) collar on Sophie can help reduce irritation, however it should be seen in person.

IM VERY WORRIED MY PUPPY HAS LITTLE BUMPS ABOVE HER NOSE AREA and i dont know what it could be?
Thank you for submitting your question regarding Luna. I recommend that she sees her veterinarian. Her skin appears very raw and irritated. She will be examined and her veterinarian will discuss possible diagnoses as well as treatment. For example, she may have a skin infection. This can be secondary to allergies, fleas or even fly bites. There are also rare autoimmune skin disease that can affect the nose. The veterinarian will guide you on how to help her feel better. In the meantime, place an E-collar on her so that she cannot scratch her nose. I hope this information helps!

My husky nose is turning pink on it’s side
It looks like some irritation of the nose there. I would recommend monitoring this for now to see if it resolves on its own, especially if Shadow does not seem bothered by it. Any kind of mild allergic reaction to a bug bite or substance can cause lesions like this on the nose; therefore, it is perfectly logical to wait and see if it improves with time. However, if the redness seems to worsen, spread or causes Shadow severe discomfort, then its best to have your vet take a look at this. Some other possible causes for this would be a severe allergic reaction, inflammatory response to a foreign material or substance, or even a possible autoimmune skin disease. Further testing would be needed to help find out the underlying cause if things don't improve. I hope that things improve with Shadow and his red nose. Best of luck moving forward. Take care.

My husky has pink spots on his snout
This can be from trauma if he rubs his snout against something or may be an allergy. there is also zinc deficiency in huskies that is usually hair loss and scabs on the face. You can monitor this for further changes because if it is from rubbing then it will clear on its own. If it gets worse then I would have your vet check the area

My 6week old husky has rough patches on her skin and she smells bad
Hi, and thanks for your question. This could be due to an allergy, although it could also be infection (pyoderma) or mites. First of all, in order to rule out skin parasites, you will need to treat with a high quality flea treatment, then ask the vet to perform a skin scrape - this might reveal an infection or a mite infestation. If all of those came back negative, the next step is to treat the allergy symptomatically and try to discover the cause of the allergy. Three main type of allergies are usually affecting pets: food allergies, flea and parasite related ones and environmental type (allergens coming from trees, pollens, dust etc etc). Some medications can be given by the vet in order to repair any possible skin lesions (like steroids and antibiotics). The following products can be found online and can be tried as a first line approach: Douxo PS Calm shampoo, Essential 6 spot on by dermoscent, Krillex Krill oil chews. My dog has a reddish bump on the side of her nose . It’s not going away, but it’s also not getting bigger.
Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Thanks for the pictures! My hope, since Sophie is young, that the bump is a histiocytoma. These are benign bumps that are button-like, red, and hairless that can be seen in young dogs. They usually go away on their one in 2-3 months. Sometimes they ulcerate as they regress. If it gets larger, starts bothering Sophie or doesn’t go away in 2-3 months then you should have Sophie looked at by a Vet. There are other skin masses that can look like that, some are benign but there are ones that are also cancerous. I hope this helps and I wish Sophie the best!
