Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | spayed | 4 years and 3 months old | 50 lbs
My dog was diagnosed with a UTI last Monday and started on Clavamox. This past Thursday I noticed blood on the couch when she got up and took her to the emergency vet what you told me that that could be a sign of her UTI and just to keep her on the anabiotic. What concerns me is she never did have the usual UTI symptoms. The only symptoms that she had was just charge from the Vulva and frequent licking. After starting her on the anabiotic’s on Monday the discharge stopped and she stopped lickin

Frequent licking and blood in the urine are signs of an infection. However if it flared after the start of the antibiotics then I would pursue further testing. Did they do anytime sample tonxhexk for cells and crystals and see what bacteria what present? From there you need an X-ray or an ultrasound to make sure there are no bladder stones as this can require surgery or the problem will keep occurring without.
