What are the calories in my dog's green tripe and bonio biscuits?

My dog has around 450 - 500g of green tripe per day and one and a half bonio biscuits how many calories would this be

One cup of green tripe is about 424 calories. There are 340g in a cup, so at most she is getting about a cup and a half of tripe. That's 636 calories. One bonio biscuit has 78 calories, so Sacha is getting 117 calories from that. This is a total of 753 calories.

No more than 10% of the dog's total daily calories should come from treats. Those two biscuits equal around 7% perfect of her daily calories, which is perfect! It's fine that 15% of her diet is the supplements, treats, and chews, keep up the good work!

Foods have very different calorie contents so it’s difficult to knownif 2 cups twice daily is enough since there are several different limited ingredient foods by Nutro. I calculate up to 1400 kCal per day for an active 45 lb dog - she might need more or less depending on her weight. You also might want to check in with your vet and see what they think her ideal body weight would be.

It really depends on why you're given them. If Bella is on a well balanced quality dog food AND an ideal weight, she should be getting about 700 calories a day and no more than 10% (70 calories) should be coming from treats. So the cup amount would depend on the food (70 calories = 3/4 cup blueberries or pumpkin puree, or a little over a cup of cubed apples). Are dog biscuits safe for dogs to eat it ? Can we give 15 biscuits in morning and 8 in evening on daily regular basis as snacks?
Biscuits should be used as small treats or rewards. They should not be used as the main source of nutrition or given in excess. This would be akin to me or you eating only junk food at every meal. Limit the biscuits to no more than 10% of the total diet.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Julia. Yes, it is possible to eat too many bully sticks. The average 6 inch stick will contain about 80-100 calories. Treats should compromise no more than 10% of a dog's diet. At 12lbs, she should eat roughly 300 calories per day depending. As you can see, even one bully stick will take a huge amount of her daily calories. I hope this information helps!

Less treats are always healthier for anyone, dogs and humans included. It would be better for Chloe to get more calories from a balanced diet then adding in extra treats, so you can give her 3/4 cup of food and three two calories treats :-)

There is a wide range of daily energy requirements for dogs depending on their activity level, if they have been spayed or neutered, and individual metabolism. By my calculation, an average neutered male 17 pound dog with a normal body condition score would require 435-520 calories per day. Yes, vegetable calories count too!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! He should be eating about 450 calories per day. I would also encourage him to exercise to some degree such as frequent walks. You could consider the Hills Science diet metabolic weight management diet which can help tremendously in this case. Have a good day!

Hi there. I calculate Diesel’s Caloric need at about 1300 calories per day. On average a cup of white rice is about 200 calories and a cup of boiled chicken breast is around 200 calories as well, so if he is getting 3 cups of each a day that is about 1200 calories, so he needs just a bit more.
