Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed

Hi my name is Tara.... I took in a feral cat from outside to live in my home as a indoor cat. She was my neighbors at one time they gave her all kitten shots and she has been fixed... she now lives with me as an indoor cat for 8 months now and is very happy. My question is I have 3 other indoor cats of my own, do I have to keep the feral cat I took I’m away from my other cats litter box, food and water and vice versa or is it safe to let the new feral cat near my other cats stuff?

If she has been vaccinated, dewormed and tested negative for FeLV and FIV, then she can be gradually introduced to yoru other cats. The general rule of thumb is to have one litterbox per cat and an additional box in a neutral area of the home. Provide sufficent numbers of bowls, beds and toys to prevent resource protection or food aggression. A pheremone product, such as teh Feliway Spray or plug in diffuser, may decrease any anxiety or aggression in the home after the introduction.
