Hi my lhasa apso rolo is just hes 1 year 2 months i free feed him when he was a pup but now I feed him twice a day wet food mixed with dry he usally wants breakfast at 6am and the dinner at 5pm he also gets water all day and has some dry food for inbetween meals so how much should he get out his walk is round about 10/15min walks somtimes more he seems to get out 6 times a day so 8am 2pm 6pm 9pm 11pm 4am and I'm wanting to stop the 4am i usally take him when he needs but I want him to sleep thro

Hello, and thank you for your question. A 1 year old dog should be able to sleep through the night without having to pee. If not, you can try using pee pads to train him to go potty in the house. If it is a matter of Rolo wanting more exercise, you can try longer walks, less frequently, e.g. 45-60 minute walks in the morning and night. I would gradually try to phase out the 4am walk by taking him out a bit later each day, e.g. 5am on day 1, then 6am on day 2, etc. He should eventually understand that he will not be getting that early morning walk, and as suggested earlier, if he has to go potty you can try training him to use a pee pad.
