My dog swallowed something. He's subdued and not using his tongue. Can a vet help?

I think my pup swallowed part of a burr/sticker. He's usually jumping around, barking, licking me. now he's very subdued. he acts like he's not using his tongue normally. I'm worried about him getting enough water. his breathing sounds ok and it's not labored. Can a vet get in there and do anything? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 10 years and 6 months old | 16 lbs

Sedation may be needed but yes, they will be able to. It sounds like a good idea to get him to the vet for an exam. Best wishes.
