Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 3 lbs
My kitten got fixed two days ago. A child just accident kicked a yoga ball and hit her. She wasn’t knocked over so she wasn’t hit too hard. However, I’m concerned that her internal stitches could have ruptured and she may have internal bleeding. This happened an hour ago and she’s still being active. There’s no bruising on her stomach.

Poor Eleanor Rigby (I love her name by the way)! Given that she wasn't hit too hard with the yoga ball and she is being her active self, I would keep an eye on her for now. Watch the incision area for redness, bruising, swelling, and/or blood coming from the area. If you see any of those signs, take her into a vet right away. Also watch her for lethargy, anorexia, or a painful abdomen. Should you see those signs, also take her into a vet. Keep in mind that in order for her to heal properly, she needs to be kept as quiet as possible. Being too active can cause the internal stitches to rupture as well as the external ones. You may want to keep her in her own room so she is confined and safe from getting hit by more yoga balls, and it will reduce her activity as well. Otherwise, hopefully she will be just fine! Thank you for contacting Pet Coach with your concerns, I hope this helps!
