Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | spayed | 3 years old | 71 lbs
I rescued my German shepherd last may 2017, found her in a wheat field. However, I've noticed that she really itches her right ear to the point of bleeding, which my vet gave me some ointment to help and it did but she still does it quite often. I also noticed, she aggressively chews on her back right foot just like she scratches her ear. It almost seems obsessive. What could it be? Is there anything I can do?

Skin infection, mites, and allergies are all possibilities. I would encourage you to have her evaluated by your veterinarian again soon. More long term medication may be needed for Sally. She also may need more medication for her ear. Your veterinarian may do a trial treatment for Mites as well. I hope she improves soon. Best of luck and thank you for using Pet Coach.
