My female dog won't let the male breed. What are my options?

i have a female Dogue de Bordeaux which is 3 years old and its 3rd time she comes on heat. i want to breed him but she dont allow the male.When the male try to hump she laid down.the female dog try to hump the malell.What should i do on this problem? Pet's info: Dog | Dogue de Bordeaux | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 3 months old | 80 lbs

Hi there. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. If Gracie does not want to accept the male there is not much you can do about that. You cannot force her. You can try leashing her so she doesn't try to walk away from him or lay down but I would be surprised if this helps. Sometimes it is just that particular male she does not like. If there are other Dogue breeders around maybe you should try another male. The only real suggestion I have at this point is to have the male's sperm collected and then inseminate Gracie via artificial insemination (AI). I don't know if your veterinarian is able to do this in Bangladesh so you will have to consult with them to see if this can be done. I wish I had some magic to tell you but unfortunately that is not possible. Hope this was somewhat helpful. Best wishes.
