My puppy ate toy stuffing/elastic. What should I do if she hasn't pooped?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 11 months and 17 days old | 10.6 lbs

I caught my puppy eating stuffing out of her toy yesterday & a little bit of the elastic band is missing as well but I’m not sure if she actually ate it. She did throw up yesterday it wasn’t in there. She has also eaten twice since then but she hasn’t had a bowel movement yet. She’s still energetic and playful. Is there something I should do? Or just wait until she has one?

Monitor her for any vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, loss of appetite or abdominal pain. She will likely pass small bits if elastic or stuffing over the next few days if she ate any. See your veterinarian if she develops any of the above symptoms.
