Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 6 years and 9 months old
My cat has black dots under her chin and has been recently sneezing a lot. They are softer sneezes, and she has been having a little diarrhea over the past month. Why is she sneezing?

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. The black dots are likely black heads from chin acne. There is not much that is effective at treating chin acne apart from benzoyl peroxide gels which have limited efficacy. I would discuss using these gels with your vet first. The sneezing may be allergy related or viral. I would monitor this for now and if it continues, would recommend having a veterinarian examine her so thst the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. As for the diarrhea, there can be many causes of this but the most common we see in vetwrinary medicine can be related to the diet or intesyinal bacteria content. I would recommend switching to a different food in addition to a probiotic such as Purina fortiflora which can be found online quite easily or at your local pet store. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
